Initial inspiration

The initial though was always to develop a project based on a coastal site - inspired by living in Brighton.  I was especially interested in the concept of redefining the traditional Victorian seaside pier with landscape sensibilities. 

Brighton Pier - connecting the sea to the land.

Initial thoughs about land/sea permeability...

Bringing the sea into the land and vice/versa. Landfrom 'keying' into the shoreline.
